The treatment is carried out in three stages:
Step 1 – The Consultation
During your consultation, we will discuss what your expectations are and desired look. We will go over any contra indications you may have which could affect the treatment. A patch test is also carried out at this point.
Step 2 – The treatment
At first we will discuss colours that will work with your skin tone and agree on what works best for the area you are having done.
Once we have an idea of the look you are aiming for, we draw the eyeliner, lip liner or brows on with a makeup pencil. Any required adjustments will be made before approving the shape and beginning the procedure.
Using a specialist facial tattooing machine, which works at a much lower frequency than a standard tattoo machine, pigment is gently applied to the skin using very fine needles. To soften the sensation, pain relief is used in the form of a numbing cream and anaesthetic so you will be as comfortable as possible.
The process normally takes 1-2 hours depending on your individual requirements and immediately after your treatment, you should expect the area to be 40-50% darker than the colour originally chosen. This will lighten in 3-4 days as your skin adjusts.
Step 3 – The retouch
Your follow up appointment, inclusive in the price, will be scheduled up to 4-8 weeks in advance. This visit is to refine the finished look of your procedure as some areas of the skin do not hold the pigment as well as others. The differences are usually subtle, and this is completely normal. The aim is for you to be delighted with the overall outcome of your chosen procedure.
